B.Ed. Admission Process

1. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following criteria for admission to the B.Ed. course:

• Educational Qualification:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Science/Social Science/Humanities/Commerce with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology with a specialization in Science and Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks.
• Reservation: Relaxation in marks will be provided to candidates from reserved categories (SC/ST/EBC/BC/Differently Abled) as per the rules of the Government of Bihar.

2. Important Dates (CET-BED 2025)

Note: These dates are based on the probable schedule for CET-BED 2025 conducted by Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU) and may be subject to change.

• Online Application Commencement: First week of April 2025
• Last Date for Online Application: First week of May 2025
• Last Date for Application with Late Fee: Second week of May 2025
• Admit Card Release Date: Third week of May 2025
• Entrance Exam Date (CET-BED 2025): First week of June 2025
• Result Declaration: Third week of June 2025
• Counseling Begins: First week of July 2025

3. Application Process

The admission application process is primarily conducted online.

1. Visit University Website: Navigate to the official website of Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU), which conducts the Bihar B.Ed. Combined Entrance Test (CET-BED).
2. Register and Fill Form: Register on the online portal and diligently complete the application form by providing personal details, educational qualifications, etc.
3. Upload Documents: Upload clear scanned copies of all required documents, including a passport-sized photograph, signature, academic certificates, and caste certificate (if applicable).
4. Pay Application Fee: Complete the payment of the application fee through online modes such as Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card.
5. Print Confirmation Page: After successful submission, print the confirmation page for your records and future reference.

4. Entrance Examination (CET-BED)

Admission to the B.Ed. course is determined through the Bihar B.Ed. Combined Entrance Test (CET-BED).

• Duration: 2 hours
• Negative Marking: No negative marking.

5. Counseling Process

Candidates who successfully qualify the entrance examination will be called for the counseling process.

1. Merit List: A state-level merit list will be prepared based on the CET-BED results.
2. Online Counseling Registration: Qualified candidates must register online for counseling and select their preferred colleges, giving priority to Gorakh Singh College.
3. Seat Allotment: Seats will be allotted based on the candidate's merit rank and their chosen college preferences.
4. Document Verification: Candidates must visit the officially allotted college for thorough verification of all original documents.
5. Payment of Admission Fee: After successful document verification, pay the required admission fee at the college to confirm your seat.
